《1+1000 Nights》
1+1000 Nights seeks to reshape ordinary perception by deconstructing reality and probing the human imagination. This work is layered with multiple realities, which are constructed through sensory signals and then broken into pieces to reveal daily life’s intricacies. Utilizing audio description, video, and subtitles, each element— whether sound, image, word, or movement—tells a story within a story, each resonating with individual memories. By gradually removing sensory signals, the audience is prompted into introspection, and then challenged to confront the inner self and to recognize one’s own imaginative capabilities. This theatrical experience resets time and space, creating a false sense of reality through sensory deprivation and manipulation, which in turn amplifies the audience’s engagement and immersion.

Dua Shin Te Production
Dua Shin Te Production is a self-styled “dynamic art collective” that follows the mantra “To live is to have a body, and with a body comes movement.” The group, whose name in Taiwanese means “Big Body,” has produced notable works such as Tschüss!! Bunny, which was performed at internationale tanzmesse NRW in 2016, as well as in other locales in Europe and the US. The company’s founder LIU Yen-cheng is widely praised for his creative experimentation. The group’s works are marked by stage drama sensibilities and conceptual approaches to choreography. Ultimately, no matter the form or format, the group adheres to the belief that “everything is material for creation.”
