Collage of partial bodies, brilliant red hues, and video multimedia are among the visual elements the complement the choreography of “Je suis en forme” which was commissioned by the National Taichung Theater, and premieres September 2022. This work touches upon the human impulse to change to satisfy others, and the inescapable gap of understanding between persons. For choreographer Yang Nai-hsuan, this piece grew from a single question: In what physical form do we truly exist, given that today anything tangible can be reworked and reshaped to fit societal and cultural expectations?
Founded in 2014, Les Petites Choses Production is a contemporary performing arts co-operative of 14 creators led by artistic director Yang Nai-hsuan. LPCP strives for work with diverse talents to create inspirational performances and activities. We have also been dedicated to community engagement, bringing forward the co-creative social movement ‘Monday School’ since 2016, withour aesthetic of dance and the vision “Art is with everyone.”
