《Propositions on Disappearance III》
I am a dancer. When I miss a person, recall a scene, or visualize an image, my instinct is to move. Propositions on Disappearance III follows the principle of that instinct. As people of my dad’s generation become ill and pass away, I realize that the languages, intonations, and interactions I was once familiar with are disappearing with them. Therefore I cannot help wanting to embody what I remembered and share with others. The work focuses on the memory of how my father moves. By exploring and feeling the world through my father’s body, it feels as if I am continuing to exchange a part of my life with my father.
