《SHE》
YEH Ming-hwa revisits seminal female dancers of the 20th century and reflects on her journey as a dancer and choreographer. From an archive of dance icons and her own memories, she sees a woman who takes off her pointe shoes and returns to embody tradition; a figure that lingers in the city and bathes in nature; and bodies that store metaphors of their time. As her own body moves across space, Ming-hwa traverses identity realms that play out on the female body through generations of history, cultural gaps and self-determination. Every “she” is a potential “me.”
